Albert Lauderdale Richardson, born December 5, 1944, in Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was 81 years old.

Albert's life was defined by his deep love for family, his enduring sense of commitment, and the quiet wisdom he shared with those around him. Raised in Little Rock, Albert grew up surrounded by the values imparted by his parents, Lauderdale Richardson and Bernice Loring Richardson, both of whom preceded him in death. Those formative years instilled in him a sense of integrity and kindness that became hallmarks of his long and meaningful life.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Linda Richardson, cherishing their years together before her own passing. Their partnership was a testament to mutual respect, support, and the joys of a shared life. Together, they nurtured a close-knit family that became Albert’s pride and greatest legacy.

Albert leaves behind his loving daughters, Kelly Thomas (with her husband Larry) and Kim Waters (with her husband Scott), and his son, Aaron Ballard, 9 Grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Vernon Richardson, and sister-in-law, Carolyn. Albert’s devotion to his children and extended family was steadfast and unwavering, and he was a source of gentle guidance and reassurance through every stage of their lives.

Albert is also remembered fondly by those family members who have gone before him: his wife, Linda Richardson; his father and mother; as well as Delfin Richardson, Ira June Richardson, Quimon Richardson, Herndon Richardson, Gwen Young, Lilly Stallcup, and Gertrude Richardson, all of whom held special places in his heart.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in honoring Albert’s life at a visitation on July 24, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at American Family Funeral Home & Cremations, 1527 E Broadway St, North Little Rock, Arkansas. A funeral service will be held the following day, July 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Friendly Chapel Church-Nazarene, 116 S Pine St, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Those who knew Albert Lauderdale Richardson will remember a man of quiet strengths, strong convictions, and generous spirit. His presence will be dearly missed, but his memory will endure in the lives of all who loved and admired him.
