Born on November 11, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, Brenda's life was marked by dedication to her faith, family, and community.

Brenda was born to Robert Edwards and Charlene Stiger. She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and nurtured her spiritual journey through active participation in her church community. Initially attending New Prospect Baptist Church in Russellville, Arkansas, she later became a faithful member of St. Matthew No. 2, where she served with commitment as secretary of the choir and as an instructor for the New Membership Class. In 1992, Brenda married Mark Edward Howard, a partnership rooted in love and mutual respect. Together, they raised three children: Marcus Terrell, Tracey Rhemonda, and Keyana Shantranell Carey Barnes. Brenda was also a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Danity, Nyla, Bexley, Elyas, and Amarie Skye, who brought joy and light to her life.
