Obituary

With deep respect and loving memory, we mourn the passing of Makiko Farr, née Takahashi, who departed this life on July 6, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by her family. Born on January 25, 1975, in Kawasaki, Japan, Makiko’s journey was one marked by warmth, dedication, and profound love for those fortunate enough to know her.

Makiko’s life was rooted in her heritage and shaped by the values imparted to her by her beloved parents, Mitsu and Masayoshi Takahashi. Growing up in Kawasaki, she shared a close bond with her sisters, Mamiko and Mikiko, relationships that continued to be a source of strength and companionship throughout her life.

Makiko’s journey led her far from her birthplace, eventually finding a home in the United States. There, her path intertwined with that of Warrick Farr, who became her loving husband. Together, they built a life grounded in mutual respect and partnership, raising their two cherished daughters, Liricka and Maricka. To her family, Makiko was the heart of the home: a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and constant source of encouragement and affection.

Her gentle spirit, thoughtful nature, and unwavering support defined her interactions with all who knew her. Makiko held strong to her values, honoring her roots while embracing new experiences with openness and grace. Whether spending time with family, continuing traditions from her homeland, or guiding her daughters, Makiko inspired those around her with her quiet strength and compassion.

Makiko’s influence extended beyond her immediate family; she remained closely connected to her parents and sisters, cherishing their relationships across time and distance. Her presence was a uniting force, bringing family together and providing comfort during times of both joy and sorrow.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Warrick, her daughters Liricka and Maricka, her mother Mitsu, her father Masayoshi, and her sisters Mamiko and Mikiko. Makiko’s legacy lives on through the love she gave and the example she set for her family.

The family will honor Makiko’s life in a private gathering. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her, and her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those she loved.

May Makiko Farr rest in peace, surrounded by the everlasting warmth of her family’s remembrance.
